Healing Center Activities

The LannaYoga Healing Center is our location for healing work and classes, as well as community events such as drumming circles and meditation. Sitting in the 2.5 acres of our bio-organic fruit and vegetable farm, it is surrounded by rice fields and fruit trees. The Healing Center is a quiet and tranquil haven. It is located four km east of Chiang Mai airport, and is only 15 minutes by car or motorbike (30 minutes by bicycle) from the center of Chiang Mai.

See the building in progess. We started in April 2009, and finished in April 2010. I did the electrical, plumbing, and woodwork, as well as building the walls with 60cm x 20cm x 20cm ACL blocks, which are very energy efficient and great insulators (they are made under pressure and are full of small air bubbles). Muay and I did most of the painting. It was a lot of work, but worth it (when we finished :) The total inside floor area is 112 sq m, and walls are 3.3m high inside, with the center of the building nearly 6m high. The roof is constructed with steel flying girders 80cm high, strong enough to hold a roof weight of over 6500kg.
