The style I teach is a mixture of Yoga Therapy and Iyengar. I have been practicing yoga since 1979. My yoga teacher training was in Integrative Yoga Therapy, and I was certified as a teacher in 1995. The instruction is suitable for all levels. Many of my students have not done yoga before coming to learn with me. You do not need to bring a mat to these classes, just wear comfortable clothes to stretch in. There are many styles of Chi Gong. My emphasis is on quickly cultivating the feeling of the chi, using simple sequences and directly demonstrating the chi. After a daily practice founded on Tibetan Chi Gong which I started in 1997, and made more powerful using Medical Chi Gong techniques, I can direct the chi to remove headaches and pain, as well as stop bleeding. Feeling the chi powerfully allows the student to integrate it in their consciousness, as opposed to just reading about it in a book or watching a DVD. I teach simple 5 minute and 15 minute Chi Gong sequences, which I have found to be effective. The Chi Gong practice also helps the student to feel the flow of energy in yoga poses. |
